The Scottish Food Coalition is about taking a joined-up approach to the food system. We believe by looking at disparate issues together, we can create more coherent policies and actions that support a fairer, healthier, sustainable food system.
Good Food Nation Bill Task Force - The Scottish Food Coalition argued for new framework legislation for the food system in our 2016 report 'Plenty: Food, Farming and Health in a New Scotland'. We were pleased to see it appear in the Programme for Government and will be focusing on our efforts around the Bill in 2017. - Currently there is a task force of organisations who are committed to attending monthly meetings and contributing time and resources to progressing this work.
Scottish Food Coalition Membership - In addition to the task force there is a wider membership base of the Scottish Food Coalition. - There are quarterly events, which allow members to feed in ideas to the task force, discuss issues and meet each other. - If you are interested in becoming a member of the Coalition, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Scottish Food Coalition Network - The Scottish Food Coalition also organises public events and seminars to support civil society discussion on food policies. - If you are interested in keeping up to date with upcoming events and news on the Good Food Nation Bill, please sign up to our updates list http://eepurl.com/cxVkYn
